Sunset in Paros will exceed your expectations. That is why in this article we will present to you few sunset spots in Paros. Most of travellers, when hearing sunset in Greece, they immediately think of Santorini. However, there are also other places in Cyclades to enjoy it and Paros is one of them.

Agioi Anargyroi Monastery

From this location you will see Paros sunset at its finest! Agioi Anargyroi Monastery is situated on a hill above Parikia, the capital of Paros. Most of the impressive pictures regarding Paros sunset that you saw online were taken from here. Therefore, this spot is number 1 on our list. In order to reach Agioi Anargyroi, you will need a car or a scooter. Getting there on foot is out of the question, as it is few kilometers uphill. Due to this fact, you should be careful when driving towards and from there. It is not dangerous however, if you are not used to uphill, it might be little bit more difficult. Additionally, you will use Google Maps to assist you.

Paros sunset view from here is amazing. Clear horizon is right in front of you; Parikia and its bay are below you. Of course, Portes Rocks are just outside of the bay as well. If meteorological conditions will allow it, you will see as far as Serifos Island.  

Profitis Ilias Church

This location is not that easy to find and reach, however it is worth every minute on the road. Profitis Ilias is a small church on a mountain, just a little bit to the north from Butterfly Valley. However the road to reach it is not the same. If you zoom in on the map, you will spot it between the Butterfly Valley and Agios Arsenios church. Of course, customer service of Parian Collection Villas will assist you with finding it!

The spot here is amazing not only to enjoy Paros sunset. You will see from here Aliki village, Punda, east coast of Antiparos and Parikia. Additionally, during days with good visibility, you will be able to see surrounding islands.

Agios Fokas

Agios Fokas is the small church on the north entrance to Parikia Bay. You probably saw it when arriving in Paros and it is easy to find. However in order to reach it, you will need your own mean of transport. Paros sunset view from here is different than in the above described locations. First of all, you will stop few hundred meters before Agios Fokas, where you will see clearly Portes Rocks to the west. Just park your car and walk towards the sea and find comfortable spot. From here, you will listen to the waves and see the sun disappear below the Aegean.

Parikia

Parikia, the capital of Paros, due to its location features also impressive sunset view. Obviously, you don’t need to worry about finding it… In Parikia, there are few nice spots that we would like to share with you, from where you can enjoy Paros sunset.

First of all, there is Livadia beach. As this is the main beach of Parikia, you can swim here and watch the sunset at the same time! View of the sea and the bay during this hour as you are inside is a unique experience as well. Secondly, on the west side of Parikia, along the coastal road, there is a windmill. You will definitely spot it quite easily. The view of Paros sunset from here is also quite interesting. The nice aspect of Parikia is that you can enjoy sunset view almost from everywhere along the coast.  

Naoussa

Naoussa village is one of the famous locations. Paros sunset view from there is also interesting. Although there is a hill on the other side of Naoussa Bay, sunset view is unique due to the scenery of the port. Watching the sun go down here, along with caique boats and white houses is amazing. Additionally, you can go to a nice spot on the peripheral road of Naoussa for a different Paros sunset view. You can make a stop on the parking lot of Matzourana restaurant. Frome here you will see Naoussa village from above as the sun initiates rainbow colours on the sky.

As you can imagine, there are many spots on our island where you can enjoy Paros sunset. In fact, due to the landscape, the general rule is that as higher you go, the better the view.
